55 A MOBILITY PROFILE OF STROKE PATIENTS ADMITTED TO A LEVEL 4 ACUTE HOSPITAL OVER A 6-MONTH PERIOD

Abstract Background In order to best direct physiotherapy stroke resources and further service development it is important characterise the mobility of patients presenting an acute hospital. Methods A previous audit completed in 2018 same organisation established that by using Berg Balance Scale (BBS) Mobility for Acute Stroke (MSAS) as admission outcome measures, a baseline profile could be while limiting floor ceiling effects. retrospective was all referred admitted with 6 month period. An excel spreadsheet used record patients’ BBS MSAS. This recorded along mainstay treatment discharge destination. Results 145 were assessed between Oct 2021 April 2022. Of those 30% scored full marks on MSAS which indicates they independently mobile or without aid post stroke. 26% 3 less would imply unable sit help.
